Large disease burden caused by heart failure among the elderly population in HK
This project aims to collaborate with DECCs and NECs across 18 Districts of Hong Kong to investigate the applicability of a proactive and preventive approach to address ageing-related diseases among grassroots elder adults. It will serve as a foundation for developing a proactive and preventive approach to early disease detection and prevention in Hong Kong.
Project (2021-2022)
We outreached 41 DECCs and NECs either on-site or online to provide public seminars to over 1000 older adults.
More than 200 seminar attendees completed the Express Heart Check.
Project (2024-2027)
In the coming 3 years, we will scale up this project to allow more older adults to benefit from our project.
